Personal Profile

A Little About Me

My name is Chris L. Taylor. I have been performing in home technical service for over 15 years serving two of the largest national alarm companies in the industry. I purchased my first computer over ten years ago and have been hooked ever since. I have been building and fixing them for myself and friends just for fun. After completing my education in Business Information Systems I decided to merge my professional experience and education with my personal passion in computers to form My Tech Home Guy.

Education

I have a Bachelors of Science degree in Information Systems from the University of Redlands. In this program I studied systems analysis, networking, programming, web development, Microsoft software such as Office 2003, GIS or geographical information systems (computerized mapping), and business management.

 

Licensing

I have been a licensed Alarm Company Employee since 1992. This license is issued after an extensive FBI background investigation is completed by the state. It is to insure that security system personnel are safe and secure in homes and businesses (license number ACE 74097).
